Overview
South India comprises a part of India that is so dense in cultural and natural heritage. It gives you a completely different insight of India. It comprises almost everything you can hope for right from tropical landscapes to pleasant cool climates, right from the religious heritage to a glamorous history. This is a home to some of the most unique coffee plantations in India along with amazing hill stations. The popular destination of most Hindi movies in the 90s (Ooty) and the lovely home to endangered tigers and the highest number of Asiatic Elephants. If you are a foodie, expect your tastebuds to awaken with some exotic spices. This tour will take you around parts of Southern India giving you experiences you otherwise would never have even dreamed about. We will be covering parts of three different states of South India- Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Karnataka and mind you, thats still just a small part of this huge region.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- Arrive in Coimbatore. Transfer to Ooty
Today, arrive at Coimbatore airport/ railway station. You will be greeted by our representative and then transferred to Ooty. Upon arrival in Ooty, check in to your hotel and enjoy the evening in this beautiful hill station.
Day 2- Ooty Local Sightseeing
Known to be the queen of hills, Ooty has some amazing locations that you must witness if you have come here. Today, you will be explore the local sights of Ooty Rose Garden, Lake, Dodapetha peak- one of the highest peak in South India and the Deer park. Return to your hotel for the evening. You can explore the town and indulge in some shopping of the famous ‘Ooty chocolate and fudge’
Day 3- Coonoor local sightseeing
Situated about 20 odd kilometres from Ooty, this second major hill station is an amazing place to visit. You can come here by road or even take the popular toy train ride. Today, we will be visiting the Sims Park- an ornamental garden, The Dolphins Nose and will take a tour of the dense tea plantations commercially known as Nilgiri Tea. Experience the journey of tea from the bush to your cup and indulge in some aromatic tea drinking.
Return to your hotel for the evening and retire for the night.
Day 4- Coonoor to Bandipur
Today, after an early sumptuous breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to Bandipur- an Eco Conservation Biosphere nestles in the foothills of the Nilgiris. Bandipur is a home to the largest number of Asiatic Elephants and a decent number of Tigers in Southern India. Upon Arrival, you check in to your resort and spend the evening closer to wilderness. You can opt for an evening safari if time permits.
Day 5- Bandipur Wildlife Safari
Today, we will spend the day going for both safaris- Morning and Evening, to try our luck and spot beautiful living beings in action in the jungle. Its all a matter of luck so keep your fingers crossed!
Day 6- Bandipur to Wayanad
Today, we bid adieu to Tamil Nadu and head towards Kerala where we will be entering through Wayanad. Wayanad is a beautiful hill station of Kerala that has so much to offer. The changing landscapes and climates is undeniably admirable and the beauty of passing by tropical rainforests and aromatic coffee plantations, imagine living around these for 2 nights! Upon arrival in Wayanad check in to your hotel and retire for the evening
Day 7- Wayanad Local Sightseeing
Today, we will embark the beautiful journey of much awaited and yet less explored tour. Today, we will see what all goes into the journey of Coffee from being a berry to getting to your coffee mug! You can shop some amazing local coffee before you get going. Set at an altitude of 700 – 2100 m above sea level, Wayanad is one of the districts in Kerala that has been able to retain its pristine nature.
Other sightseeing attractions may include Pookode Lake, Soojipara waterfalls, Kuruva Island, Edakkal Cave and Chembra Peak, depending on the time available. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8- Wayanad to Coorg
Today, after touching a bit of Kerala, we will head towards Karnataka by entering Coorg. Coorg is known to be a green paradise with lush green landscapes and another coffee hub. So without hampering your coffee handover from Wayanad, we will allow you to indulge in some more coffee. The variety of coffee differs from region to region and so does its botany. Upon arrival in Coorg, we shall check in and retire in the evening.
Day 9- Coorg Local Sightseeing
Today, after an early breakfast, we will head for a short nature trail trek. We will explore the amazing view points and the beauty of Coorg that remains hidden under the green landscapes. Further here, we will head to the famous Buddhist Monastery and the Golden Buddha Temple located in Bylekuppe. Bylekuppe – One of the largest Tibetan settlements in South India, it is known for its monasteries, handicrafts, carpet factories, and incense factory. Return to your hotel for the evening and relax.
Day 10- Coorg Local Sightseeing
In the morning, proceed to for local sightseeing of Coorg visiting Abbey Falls, Raja’s Seat, Madikeri Fort and Omkareshwara Temple. Return to the resort and rest of the time at leisure. Overnight in the resort.
Day 11- Coorg to Mysore
Today, after an early breakfast, we will head towards Mysore- this historical city of the South and official residence of the Wadiya Dynasty. It should take you about 3 hours to reach Mysore by road. Upon arrival, you may check in to your hotel, freshen up and head for some local sightseeing. You will visit the Chamundeshwari temple, the Mysore Zoological Park and Tombs of Tipu Sultan and Hyder Ali. Before dusk sets in, head towards Brindavan garden which is about a 30 mins drive from Mysore city. Spend some time at the garden and then witness the beautiful light show after sunset. Spend sometime here and return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 12- Mysore to Kabini
Begin the day early and after breakfast check out from your hotel. Head to the famous Maharaja’s Palace and find yourself drowning in its aura. After your tour of the palace, we will get set to begin our journey to Kabini. Kabini- a home to some really interesting wildlife and natural heritage is worth a visit if you have come this far. If time permits, you can opt to go for a jungle safari in the evening or relax at your leisure.
Day 13- Kabini Wildlife Safari
Today early in the morning and evening, we will try our luck and spot some animals. If time permits, we can visit the local villages and indulge in some interaction to understand their way of life and enjoy some activities with them. Spend the evening at your leisure.
Day 14- Departure Day to Bangalore
After an amazing long break with lots of adventure, learning , experiences and abundant memories, we shall be heading to Bangalore to take our flight/ train back home
