Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Begin your Tanzania adventure by arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A warm welcome awaits you as you’re transferred to your comfortable hotel in Arusha. Take this day to relax, acclimate, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead or explore the beautiful city of Arusha- it museums, cultural centers and shopping complexes

Day 2 : Arusha Walking Tour

Take your time to discover the beauty of Arusha city from Clock tower (the half way between Cairo Egypt to Johannesburg South Africa) and take walking to Maasai Market, proceed to Arusha Declaration monument and museum, central market to learn different African spices, vegetable and fruits, visit Arusha City bus terminal, then later drive to Cultural Heritage Centre for shopping and visit Snake park and Maasai boma at the same place (option to visit snake park) after enjoying different kinds of snake, birds, crocodiles, tortoise etc drive back to your hotel which is Green mountain Arusha.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, depart for Tarangire National Park. Immerse yourself in the wonders of this wildlife haven with a day of game drives. Tarangire is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, including large elephant herds, making it a photographer’s paradise. Spend your night at a lodge or camp within the park, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 4: Visit Ngorongoro Crater Enroute Lake Manyara national Park

On this day it is best to leave the Campsite as early in the morning as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours; breakfast will be packed in lunch boxes specifically for this purpose. At 6:30 AM you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater.

Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania’s national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travelers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining.

By lunch time you will arrive at the lake side, where you will be offered lunchboxes, after which the safari will continue. On the way it’s possible to visit Maasai Village.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Early morning breakfast at the Camp (or you can also carry a packed breakfast & lunch) and descend into the floor of the Great Rift Valley where you will visit the Lake Manyara National Park. The name ‘Manyara’ is a Maa word (Masai Language) for the euphorbia tirucalli tree species which the nomadic Masai people use to make hedges to protect their homesteads and livestock. The park is highlighted with lots of these trees and the tree climbing lions which are often spotted taking afternoon siesta on the branches. Many other animals are common sightings in this evergreen park and they include; the impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas and the dik diks.

You will notice that just as you enter this park there an ever green lush forest fed by an underground water streams and it is a perfect habitat for the Blue monkeys, the baboons, bush bucks and the huge elephants sheltering in the sheds from the afternoon sun and devouring the green branches, twigs and herbs. The Hippo pools and at Lake Manyara itself you will get the chance to observe the Hippos and the aquatic birds including the colorful Flamingos, pelicans, Egyptian geese, cormorants, and many more.

You will do game drives until evening time then drive to Green Mountain hotel Arusha where you will be dropped.

Day 6: Departure Transfer

After an amazing trip, head to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for home country departure

Day 7: Flight transfer to Zanzibar Island

Embark on a flight to Zanzibar Island, a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Arrive and settle into your accommodation, marking the beginning of your island retreat.

Day 8: Spend the whole day at Stone Town, exploring Zanzibar Island

Discover the historical and cultural treasures of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through narrow streets, visit spice markets, and delve into the fascinating history of Zanzibar.

Day 9: Ferry transfer to Pemba Island

Take a ferry to Pemba Island, an idyllic retreat known for its pristine beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Note that ferry services are available on certain days, so plan accordingly. Enjoy a day of tranquility on this lesser-explored island.

Day 10: Return to Zanzibar Island for the night

Return to Zanzibar Island, savoring the last night of your Tanzanian adventure. Laze around on the beach or explore more of the island’s attractions.

Day 11: Return to the home country

Fly back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight, carrying with you cherished memories of the diverse landscapes, wildlife, and cultural gems of North Tanzania.
