Detailed Itinerary for the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh

Day 1- Arrive in Shimla

Today in the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh, you will be reaching Shimla. Your pick up will be arranged from the nearest airport or railway station. Upon arrival, wasting no time, you will be headed to your hotel in Shimla. You can check in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure recovering from the hectic journey you have had today.

Day 2-Shimla to Narkanda

Today in “the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh”, after an early morning breakfast, we will head towards Narkanda and we will take the route that goes through Kufri. The scenic beauty from the hilltop is one of the strong reasons why one wouldn’t want to miss visiting Kufri when visiting Shimla. On our way, we will also visit the Zoo and the amusement park – Kufri Fun World.
After spending some time over there, we will resume our journey to Narkanda. Narkanda is the region where Asia’s first Apples were planted by a Britisher. It is quite a different feeling of stepping on the very ground which defines agriculture of the whole state today.

Upon reaching Narkanda, we will visit the TanniJubbar lake. After clicking some pictures, we will head towards your stay for the day. We will be staying in a eco-friendly accommodation closer to nature. Make the best you want of it and explore nature at its best

Day 3- Narkanda Local Visit

Today in “the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh” we will start early after having some delightful breakfast. We will head towards the hatu Peak but not by our vehicle. We explore the whole region by taking a short trek to the Hatu peak and enjoy the first ray of the sun by watching it rise. To cherish the beautiful valleys of Narkanda, we will descend and go for some regional sightseeing like the lake, Thanedar and Kotgarh travelling through our vehicle. After that, we will make the trip more interesting by doing some Cherry picking in the orchards at Narkanda (If season permits) After learning about how to do it and finally collecting some of our own, we will come back to our hotel and spend the rest of the evening relishing the sweet memories that we made today.

Day 4- Narkanda to Tirthan Valley

The hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh takes you for an early breakfast. We will head towards Tirthan Valley via the Jalori Pass. A long day with alot of excitement enroute. Villages like Thandedar, Kothgarh and other apple orchards, we will reach near the riverbed of Satluj. We will reach Jalori pass via Nagal, Anni and Khanag. Here’s an optional trek to consider. Serolsar lake is not a far away but pleasant 2 hours trek at the pass. Starts just behind Jalori mata temple. After reaching Serolsar lake and relaxing ourselves amidst the serene landscapes, we will head towards the Tirthan Valley wherein, we will take a halt at the Tirthan River. After cherishing the beauty of the region, we will head towards our stay in the valley, check- in and spend the rest of the night in leisure.

Day 5- Tirthan Valley Local Sightseeing

Travelling through this undisturbed valley is an experience in itself. The Tirthan valley is not yet influenced by commercialised tourism hence the lifestyle, culture and life of the villagers stay unaffected from the respective. It is believed that there is no better way of exploring mountain life than visiting the mountain in your leisure time which is exactly what we are going to do today.

Today, we will do some breathtaking sightseeing of the Tirthan Valley. We will start in the morning after breakfast and move towards visiting the following places.

Chehni Kothi– A tower made of stone and wood, this tower not only served as a temple but also served as a point of safeguarding the valley. The tallest in the western Himalayas, Chehni Kothi survived the devastating 1905 Kangra earthquake.

Village walk– The less populated village of Tirthan Valley does have a limited population of people but when it comes to population of snow, earthy landscapes, shining river and lush greenery, Tirthan is one of the most populated valleys of Himachal. Taking a morning or evening walk around the village and discovering heaven in a different landscape altogether is more a blessing than adventure and you will be offered with the opportunity.

River trek (take a dip in tirthan river)– You can walk down alongside the river but you will be able to discover its beauty only when you will be allowed to do so from within and that is exactly what we offer you. Take a river trek only to reach the point where you can actually take a dip down the mesmerizing Tirthan river embellished with polished, pebble- like rocks.

Day 6- Tirthan valley leisure day

Among many vallies of Kullu, valley along Tirthan river has drawn attention of residents and residents living in metro cities now a days. It’s one of the most beautiful lakes of Himachal in the Mandi district. The lake is situated on the top of a mountain and is known to be a popular trek amongst various adventure enthusiasts. The breathtaking views from the top of the mountain, being above the clouds, layers of Dhauladhar mountain range one after another, the wind, mysterious tiny moving islands in the lake are a few things you can’t get enough of.

After spending some relaxing time near the lake, we will head towards Mandi town and stay the night over there upon reaching and checking- in.

Day 6- Tirthan valley to Manali

Today in “the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh”, we are going to kickstart our day early. We will be heading towards Manali. En route, we will be visiting Prashar Lake. It’s one of the most beautiful lakes of Himachal in the Mandi district. The lake is situated on the top of a mountain and is known to be a popular trek amongst various adventure enthusiasts. The breathtaking views from the top of the mountain, being above the clouds, layers of Dhauladhar mountain range one after another, the wind, mysterious tiny moving islands in the lake are a few things you can’t get enough of. Upon arrival in Manali, check in to your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 7- Manali local Sightseeing

The hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh offers a laid back day as we will spend the day doing some local sightseeing and strolling around the region. We will visit the old city of Manali, the Hadimba temple and the Vashisht temple. As we visit the Vashisht temple, we will also take a visit to the Vashisht village and the hot water springs that the village houses. We will also visit the iconic Hadimba temple, Ghatotkach temple and the cultural museum which has a lot of historical knowledge and things to offer the sights of. In the evening, we will visit the Manu temple and hop onto different cafes to cherish the continental delicacies. If you agree, we can also take an optional trek to the Jogini waterfall.

Day 8- Manali to Solang Valley day trip

Day 9- Manali to Chandigarh drop

Day 9- Manali to Kasol enroute Manikaran

Have you ever imagined how it must feel to open your eyes to snow- clad gigantic mountains? To be woken up by the mystic sounds of nature? To be making your own food while you enjoy watching glaciers feeding the rivers? All of this, you will experience today by camping at Kasol.

We will start in the morning after having our breakfasts. We will head towards Kasol where rugged yet luxurious camps are waiting for us to experience how living in the feels like. On our way to Kasol, we will visit the Manikaran Gurudwara. After spending some time over there, we will reach Kasol where we will check- in our camps and spend the rest of the evening relaxing in Mother nature’s lap.

ManiKaran Gurudwara- Located on river Parvati, not only does the temple bless us with its well wishes but also with the beautiful landscape that it is as a whole and around. The rice served in the Langar of this Gurudwara is usually cooked in the hot springs that are nearby the Gurudwara. They also provide hot water baths. As is said, no better hospitality than the Sikh hospitality.

Day 10- Kasol Village Walk

Today in “the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh”, we will start early in the morning after having our breakfast. We will visit places that hold historical importance and also take a short trek to a mysterious village.- Malana. After spending some time over there, we will come back to Kasol and spend the rest of the evening in leisure.

Malana Village- We all know what Malana is famous for but what we do not know is that there are many secrets that the village keeps to itself. From believing that the villagers are descendants of the Great Alexander to cutting lambs in order to derive a decision upon who lost the case, the trek to, in and around the Malana village will only make you want to know more about it.

Day 11- Kasol to Chandigarh drop

Today in “the hidden gems of Himachal Pradesh”, we begin early in the morning and check out of your hotel and we will then head towards your departure point with some of the most amusing memories of Himachal Pradesh.

Day 12- Mandi Local Day Visit

Begin your day early by visiting Rewalsar Lake, a sacred spot surrounded by lush greenery. The lake is considered holy by Buddhists, Hindus, and Sikhs. Explore the floating islands and visit the monasteries around the lake.

Head towards Maa Naina Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi.

The temple is a revered religious site, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Explore Bhutnath Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is known for its architectural beauty and is an important pilgrimage site during the Shivratri festival. Spend the afternoon exploring Mandi’s local attractions, including the intricately carved temples and historic landmarks. In the evening, catch the Volvo bus for Delhi from the designated bus stop if you plan to head to Delhi, else, head to your hotel for the evening.

Day 13- Mandi to Chandigarh drop
