Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Guwahati Arrival

Today, we will start our journey by arriving at the Guwahati Airport. Upon arrival, we will be transferred to the hotel for the rest of the evening. You can stroll around or explore the markets of Guwahati.

Day 2- Guwahati Local Sightseeing

Today, we will start early. We will head to the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the oldest 51 shakti pithas in India. The Kamkhaya Temple is known for the belief that one can only visit when one has been called by the Goddess herself! After offering our prayers, we will head to the Assam Emporium and witness the beautiful handicrafts depicting Assamese culture. You can return to your hotel for lunch or explore the famous Paltan Bazaar for some shopping in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon, we will head to the boatyard and embark on a sunset cruise over Brahmaputra- the only male river known for its vastness and strength. Return to your hotel for the evening!

Day 3- Transfer to Pobitora National Park

Today, after a relaxed breakfast, we will head to Pobitora, known for the famous Pobitora National Park. This National Park is a home to the famous One-Horned Rhino, the Bengal tigers and Leopards. It is still a very unexplored forest range that is a home to the wild in their natural habitat. After check-in, we will stay amidst complete wilderness where the chirping of the crickets and the grunts of the Rhino may be audible to your naked ears. Spend the evening relaxing so close to nature taking in every breathe of it.

Day 5- Transfer to Shillong.

After an early breakfast, we will head to Shillong- the beautiful capital of Meghalaya. We will drive to Shillong which is 130 kms away and on our way we will take a halt at Barapani also known as the Umiam Lake. After spending some time over there, we will head to the hotel, check- in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong

Day 6- Shillong Local Sightseeing

This cute capital city of Meghalaya is home to some of the most beautiful scenic locations of Meghalaya. Today, we will be visiting the famous Elephant Falls, Wards Lake, the Botanical Garden and the Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture. We will also visit Shillong Viewpoint. Later in the evening, stroll around Police Bazaar witnessing a typical evening in Shillong with definitely some shopping and cuisine exploration.

Day 7-  Shillong to Cherrapunjee

Today, after having our breakfast and a leisurely morning, we will drive to Cherrapunjee which is around 60 kms from Shillong. Cherrapunjee is the wettest place in the whole world which receives the highest amount of rainfall. Its also popular for its natural honey. Upon arrival, we shall check in to our hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Cave. Return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 8: Day trip to Mawlynnong

Today, after having our breakfasts, we will drive to Mawlynnong which is the cleanest village in Asia. After visiting this village we will visit the famous Living root Bridges, and then head towards the Bangladesh border. On our way, we will boat around the Umngot river- known for its crystal clear water. After spending the whole day having fun, we will drive back to Cherrapunjee and will spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 9: To Kaziranga National Park

Today, we will start our day by having a tummy- filling breakfast and then driving to Kaziranga which is approximately a 7 hours drive. Upon reaching Kaziranga, we will check- in at the hotel/ guest house and spend the evening in leisure.

DAY 10: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Today, after having our breakfasts, we will take a Jeep Safari at Central Range. Over there, we will discover, enroute and have our lunch. Post lunch, we will drive to the Orchid Park famous for its Assam Tea. After buying a few tea packets, we will come back to our hotel for an evening in leisure. You can also opt for an evening jeep safari is you want to witness more of the wildlife in the region

Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 11- Departure drop

Today, with scenic memories and lifetime experience, we will head back to Guwahati for your departure back home.
